Wash Routine:

1. Cold Rinse with no detergent.
2. Full Wash Cycle with Hot Water, with detergent. Use full amount of detergent if you are using Rockin' Green or other CD detergent. For other regular detergents, use only 1/2 of recommended amount with a Top Loader and only 1/4 of recommended amount with Front Loader. Wash your diapers on heavy, or a fast-fast cycle. Do not use fabric softener.
3. Finish washing your diapers with another cold rinse.
4. You can line dry your diapers or put them in the dryer. Hang dry your diaper covers and the pocket portion of pocket diapers, to extend the life of your velcro and PUL.
Do not use dryer sheets!!!!

Funny, I have this memorized!!
(taken from http://www.doablediapers.com/pages/washingandcare.htm

1.Place all diapers, inserts, prefolds, covers, cloth wipes, wet bags, etc. in the washing machine.
2.Run a cold rinse with no detergent. This rinse will wash away the urine and any remaining poo from your diapers and inserts.
3.Wash your diapers on a hot, fast-fast (heavy duty) wash cycle with detergent.
4.For top loading machines use 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent. For front loading machines use 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent. If you are using Rockin' Green or other cloth diaper detergent, use the full recommended amount.
5.Finish with a cold rinse.
6.You should hang dry your diaper covers and any pocket diapers that contain PUL. This will extend the life of the PUL and the hook & loop closures. If you need to machine dry them, do so for only 10-15 minutes.
7.Dry the inserts and prefolds in the dryer or on the line.

Washing your diapers is simple!

You should NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets with your cloth diapers!!! These products leave behind a residue which will build up on your diapers and cause repelling and/or leaking problems. If you feel that you absolutely must use softener, Ecover has been reported to be cloth diaper friendly. However, it should not be used with every load.

1. It is best to wash your diapers with as much water as possible, so I use the largest load setting.
2.Cold water rinse without detergent.
3. Hot water wash with 1/2 the recommended detergent (top loaders) or 1/4 recommended detergent (front loaders). If using a special cloth diaper detergent use the amount recommended. Do not use fabric softener when washing cloth diapers!
4. Extra rinse cycle.
5. Line dry or machine dry. Preferably line dry diaper covers with PUL so their life is extended.

1.Place all diapers, inserts, cloth wipes, wet bags, etc. in the washing machine.
2.First do a cold rinse with no detergent.
3.Next, wash your diapers on a hot wash cycle with detergent. For top loading machines use 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent. For front loading machines use 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent. Only if you are using Rockin' Green or other cloth diaper detergent, do you use the full recommended amount.
4.Finish with a cold rinse.
5.Line dry or machine dry. Preferably line dry diaper covers with PUL so their life is extended.
If you need to machine dry them, do so for only 10-15 minutes.
